The Home Screen for Smart Access should always remain open on the machine that is connected to your access control readers. On the Home Screen you will see all readers at your association and their connection status. Green check marks appear next to readers that are online and connected, while Red Xs appear next to readers that are offline or not connected. You can double click on a reader to get more information about the memory status of the reader, i.e. how many cards it has stored and how many scans it has recorded since the last update.
The customization and management of Smart Access is done through the Maintenance menu; it is here where you can set the synchronization time, web service URLs, administrator password, link readers to the system, and run manual update cycles.
