How to cancel a lost or stolen gift card

If a member has a gift card that was lost or stolen, you can follow these steps to deactivate the card:
  1. Go to the purchaser's transaction history and find the receipt number for the original purchase of the gift card.
  2. Go to Reports>Financials>Gift Cards>Audit Trail and run the report for the date the gift card was purchased and export to Excel. 
  3. Find the correct receipt number in the Excel spreadsheet, then go to Reports>Financials>Gift Card>Balance and then type in the Gift Card # that corresponds with the Receipt # in the Audit Trail report.
  4. Check the box to "Deactivate Card and Transfer Balance to Online Credit," then select the person the online credit should go to and click Transfer.
